The objective of our institute is to cultivate

  • What students are we looking for

Students of our institute come from various faculty, different background and specialty. As patent covers all walks of life, students would have a suitable career development after their graduation. Therefore, our institute is characterized by cultivating cross-field talents who interested in patents.

 

  • Admission requirements

The first stage of admission is the audition for master and doctoral classes, with a quota of 9 candidates. The registration date is from the end of September to the beginning of October of the year before admission (The exact date will be announced in the school's admissions brochure). The score is calculated by 50% for the written examination and 50% for the oral examination. Those admitted through the audition must be admitted one semester early.

The second stage of admission is for the master's class, with a quota of 6 candidates. The registration date is the beginning of December of the year before admission (The exact date will be announced in the school's admissions brochure). The score is calculated by 40% for the written review and 60% for the interview.

 

  • Application Instructions

Required documents for written review

  1. A photocopy of the graduation certificate (a photocopy of the student ID card with the registration seal for fresh graduates or the proof of study in the first semester of the current academic year).
  2. A photocopy of ID card.
  3. A copy of the original transcript of the university degree (including the original certificate of ranking).
  4. Autobiography (including study plan).
  5. Professor recommendation letter.
  6. Other materials useful for review (such as final-year projects and award-winning facts, etc.)

 

  • Credit waivers system

The relevant regulations for master students (excluding foreign students and in-service full-time students) who need to study English and their exemptions are as follows:

  1. Take 4 credits from the compulsory English courses in undergraduate program or the English courses offered by department of applied foreign language (AFL). (English credits are not included in graduation credits)
  2. Those who have taken 4 credits from the compulsory English courses in undergraduate program within two years.
  3. Students who have passed the intermediate level of GEPT or other same level English tests (see attachment) when applying for the exemption. The relevant documents must be within the validity period when submitting the application.
  4. Those who have taken the school's "Summer English Intensive Course" and obtained a certificate of completion.
  5. Those who have obtained a degree from an English-speaking university (inclusive) or above.
